This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Miami Business Club (“MBC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you visit our website at miamibusinessclub.com and any related digital properties (collectively, the “Digital Properties”), apply for or maintain membership, register for or attend our events, subscribe to our communications, or otherwise interact with us.
MBC is a private networking organization for founders, executives, investors, and professionals based in Miami, Florida. We are the controller responsible for processing your personal data as described in this Policy.
Please read this Policy carefully. By using our Digital Properties or engaging with our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. Please also review our Terms and Conditions, which govern your use of the Digital Properties.

Our Digital Properties may include social media features (such as Instagram, LinkedIn, or Facebook buttons). These features may collect your IP address, set cookies, and are governed by the privacy policy of the applicable social media platform.
10. Data Retention
We will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or for the duration required by any legal, regulatory, accounting, or reporting requirements, whichever is longer.

Upon expiry of the applicable retention period, we will securely delete or anonymize your personal data in accordance with applicable laws. Where personal data has been anonymized, it is no longer considered personal data and may be retained indefinitely.

MBC does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on individuals.
12. Children’s Privacy
Our Digital Properties and services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. Our events require attendees to be at least 21 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take prompt steps to delete such information. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 18, please contact us immediately at privacy@miamibusinessclub.com.

MBC does not sell your personal data. MBC does not use your personal data for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

15. Additional Rights for California Residents
This section applies to residents of California and supplements the information in this Policy in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the “CCPA”).

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. If you use an authorized agent, we may require proof of authorization (such as a signed letter or power of attorney) and may still verify your identity directly.
We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 days. If additional time is required (up to 90 days total), we will notify you in writing of the reason and extension period.
California Shine the Light
